2016 Goals

I love the new year, and I'm not ashamed! My birthday (December 29th) falls right around new years so I'm always starting a new calendar year and birth year at the same time. By the time new years comes around I always feel so tired from the holidays, and new years always gives me this fresh-start feeling that wakes me up!

My favorite part of the new year is setting goals. When I was younger they started out as "collect all of the American Girl dolls" and morphed into "find my first summer job". Now that I'm getting older, and life is getting more real, my goals are becoming centered around finding personal happiness:

| Make Time for Yoga |

Yoga is something I actually enjoy doing. In high school I used to sit in my room and go through 5 or six different yoga apps a month, attend 4 classes a week... I even joined the yoga club at my high school. But when I got to college I stopped making time for it, and I've noticed that I haven't been as happy.

This year. and especially this semester, I'm going to make time to go to at least one class a week. And at the very least spend an hour a week doing yoga in my dorm.

| Spend More Time Out |

I noticed my favorite and most productive days are always the days I spend at the library or out in town at a coffee shop, but for some reason I seemed to spend most of my time in my room. Why I found sitting in an 8x10 cement room fun I don't know, but this semester I want to spend more time on campus during the day!

| Find my Place |

For the past few months I've been reflecting on my time at my school and I've been thinking about the idea of transferring.  I want to take this semester and this year to find my place. It may be at the school I'm already at, but it may be somewhere else.

I'm going to take some time to explore new facets of my own campus while exploring some new campus'.

My biggest goal for 2016 is to be the happiest and healthiest version of myself I've been in a long time. I'm going to set aside time for myself, take care of myself, and learn to love every part of  me for who I am.

What are your 2016 #goals?

xoxo
